While my background is in nutrition science my curiosity extends to a broader range of scientific research and researchers and how their facinating work can change how we live our lives.

Lisa is a Theatre Producer, Playwright and Actor and founded the Creative Hub at Perth Theatre aimed at professional actors, directors, writers, producers and freelance artists, bringing everyone together to collaborate and develop.  Lisa has an interest in health and wellbeing  both within the creative industries and wider society, so much so that she is currently studying Nutrition and Health at Abertay University in Dundee with a view to improving the management of the working environment for her colleagues at Perth Theatre but also to begin making documentaries examining public health nutrition.

Lewis received his first degree in Sport and Exercise Science in 2012 and has provided athlete support to both commonwealth and olympic athletes. His PhD research in 2016 was in the area of ‘Neuromuscular Markers of High Performance Sport Preparation’ and his sporting interests lie in swimming and field hockey.  His current research focuses on cognitive function and motor control in aging populations.

Jean Philippe is Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Ottawa and Senior Scientist with the ‘Healthy Active Living and Obesity Research Group’ at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute. His research focuses on obesity prevention, health promotion, and lifestyle behaviour modification, including improving sleep, increasing physical activity, reducing screen time, and fostering healthier eating habits.

Richard graduated from Glasgow University as a vet in 1998, and spent time at Cambridge University before returning to Scotland.  He was awarded a Wellcome Trust Clinical Training Fellowship to undertake studies into T cell activation and regulation in diabetes and awarded a PhD in 2007.  Richard runs a basic science and clinical research programme at Edinburgh University where he moved in 2007, focused on further understanding of how nutrition influences health outcomes and the immune system.

Michelle first became interested in the impact of nutrition science when she was diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune disease.  She went on to study nutrition, lecture in nutrition science and achieved a Doctorate in Professional Studies with Middlesex University. Michelle’s interest lies in the development of an evidence base for personalised nutrition.

Having started his career in computer science working for banks and financial organisations, he is now the Principal & Director of the Centre for Nutrition and Lifestyle Management in the UK and co-founder of a personalised nutrition company called Euzen. With a background in computing science James’s  interests now lie in machine learning (that’s AI to you and me) for the development of nutrition science research.
